Book Preview: Pelican Point

pelican pointPelican Point (2013) by Donna Kauffman brings together lighthouse expert Alex MacFarland and lighthouse owner Logan McCrae in Blueberry Cove, Maine. Alex, from a long line of lighthouse keepers, likes to fix things. She has traveled across the country to escape from the trauma of a life-altering accident and start fresh with a new job. Logan McCrae is the chief of police and a self-sufficient man who doesn’t like change or want help from anyone, whether local or from out of town. He is used to being the one to help others.

While the community welcomes Alex, Logan is hesitant to open his heart again, to a woman he can’t deny he finds attractive. This love story brings together two reluctant, damaged hearts who realize they have found exactly what they didn’t know they needed. Blueberry Cove is tiny, but not too small to have room for characters who will invite the reader back for the next installment of this series.
